Transit Projects

Ten percent of Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority funds support Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT). MMT is a division of The City of Colorado Springs and is the primary provider of public transportation services in the Pikes Peak region and is designated by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) as the recipient of grant funding for the Colorado Springs Urbanized area. Responsibilities include transit service administration, regional planning coordination, and ensuring compliance with Federal and State rules and regulations.

The Transit Services Division directs and manages the activities and operations of all fixed-route, ADA paratransit, and rideshare services for the region. Over ninety percent (90%) of operations are outsourced.

MMT reports monthly to the PPRTA Board of Directors.
