Re: Design of the Baptist / Hodgen / Roller Coaster Road Intersection Project
El Paso County requests approval to award a contract and purchase order with AECOM Technical Services, Inc. (AECOM) in the amount of $795,212.00 for engineering design services for the Baptist and Hodgen Rd at Roller Coaster Rd Intersection Improvements Project (also referred to as Baptist Roller Coaster).
The project site is located at the intersection of Baptist/Hodgen Road and Roller Coaster Road (the intersection) in Black Forest. The project includes the four approaches to the intersection.
The project will generally consist of improving safety and level of service to the intersection. An analysis of the intersection will be conducted to determine the best option. The design will include geometric, drainage, and traffic control improvements.
AECOM will complete the project through a series of project phases. This Scope of Services includes the Preliminary Design (60%), Final Design (90%), and Construction Documents (100%). Funds for this contract will come from the PPRTA Capital Funds Account 06-20-5460001 for the El Paso County Department of Public Works.
