  • Transit Shuttle Parking – This project represents the City’s goal to build a mobility hub and bathrooms at Hiawatha Gardens (10 Old Man’s Trail). The site supports 3 Mountain Metro Shuttles (Routes 3, 33 and 36), connects with the Creek Walk Trail and is the City’s largest parking lot. Additionally, the historic building is partially demolished, where the non-structurally sound portions of the building were removed leaving the original dance hall from the late 1890’s. No PPRTA funds will be used to rehabilitate the building, only the transportation related improvements (i.e. bathrooms that are available to users of the mobility hub and parking lot) will be supported by PPRTA funds. The City has an architect under contract and is developing construction plans that align with the needs of the Manitou Springs community. The City is continuing conceptual plans currently.
