Board of Directors – September 11, 2024: Quarterly Reports From Member Governments – El Paso County 2024 Second Quarter Report – Security Boulevard & Main Street Intersection Improvements

Project Description

Intersection improvements at the intersection of Security Boulevard & Main Street.  The intersections are currently equipped with traffic control devices that are more than three decades old with leaning traffic poles, inadequate signal head clearance, and exposed cabling.  Improvements will include the installation of new traffic signals and accompanying equipment, as well as new signage, striping, and pedestrian improvements. Improvements will update intersection operational efficiency, increase pedestrian and ADA access, and increase overall public safety.
