Board of Directors – September 11, 2024: Quarterly Reports From Member Governments – El Paso County 2024 Second Quarter Report – Deer Creek, Base Camp, Microscope Way Project

Project Description

The project is located just east of I-25, about 0.9 miles north of Highway 105 near the town of Monument in northern El Paso County.  The project includes Deer Creek Road from Monument Hill Road east to Woodmoor Drive and the two adjacent cul-de-sacs, Base Camp Road and Microscope Way (previously Emigrant Trail East), extending to the north approximately 700 feet and 600 feet, respectively.  The general scope of the Project will be to develop a design to reconstruct roads, widen for shoulders, improve drainage and provide safety improvements.  With future development planned on the southeast side of the Deer Creek Road and Woodmoor Drive intersection, El Paso County has amended the project to include upgrades at the intersection and will include a planned roundabout (RAB).
